SNAKE~ Awakening dormant energies and unlocking hidden knowledge, Snake brings spiritual transformation and heals through change. From “Animals Teachings,” by Dawn Brunke.

Several weeks ago…

I woke in the morning from a dream that had snakes in it. When I was going out the door that day to Water/Physical Therapy, I said out loud to the Universe, “Ok, I know I’m going to have a snake come to me with a message soon; I welcome it.” I know snake lore, medicine and magic tells us of change, shedding our skins, health and healing, transformations and earth energy. I’ve been going through a lot of physical changes for the last couple of years, so change is welcome in many areas. Just this year I’ve been working hard to heal my body and release pain.

Maybe I didn’t welcome it as well as I could have, because while sitting in my living room on the couch last week, talking on the phone, I saw something under my dining room chair. We have light oak wood floors and I thought it was a string or thread. I watched it and finally saw it move! I said out loud, “not again!” At least this time it was a tiny one, (a Ringneck Snake) but I still didn’t want it in my house! I grabbed a handicap gripper tool, that helps pick up things, and tried to get the snake with that. The snake was very small, a baby I figured, but I didn’t know what kind. (at the time) I heard on a television show that some newly hatched poisonous snakes can be more potent than adults snakes, so I wanted to be careful, plus, I didn’t want to hurt it. I didn’t get a picture of it because I was home alone and I just wanted it out of the house! Once before, I had a Black Racer Snake show up in my bedroom coming from the window sill onto my night stand. Another minute and it would have been on my bed and I was laying in it! I have no idea how it got into our house but I was so afraid I ran and shut the door! I was on the phone that time too, lol, with the same person, my husband! Luckily the snake was moving slower because we had the air conditioning on. When he got home we caught it and tossed it out the window where it quickly slithered away to its home. I didn’t sleep in our bedroom for at least a week! *smile*

I’ve had snake come to me several times in the last ten or so years and probably most of my life in one way or another.  Each time, in dreams first, then in person. I felt strongly these were always messages for me. I sought information to learn what snakes message was. Before snake, sister spider came too. I’ve had many insects and animals come to me with messages and insight on what path to take or what to pay attention to.

For now, I know I’m going through some big transformations inside and out. Perhaps I’m shedding my old skin and getting a newer, tougher one. Heaven knows, these days I need a tougher skin to deal with so much negative energy. I need to have a good shield of love, while protecting my heart, mind and spirit from all the ignorance flying around these days. So many people are not using common sense, love and common decency and I’m doing my best to refrain from falling into the pit of despair and anger while still expressing myself and sharing messages I’m being given from SpiritGod and higher wisdom through many means all around me. So yes, I welcome messages from my animal spirit helpers, guides, angels and more.

This is a webpage with pictures of the snake that came in the house, this time. http://srelherp.uga.edu/snakes/diapun.htm~

A Moment with Mysti~ January 26, 2014

I’m a home-body. I like being home. I tell myself often, that’s ok. Everyone has a purpose and not all of us were meant to travel all over the world with our messages or be in front of huge crowds. Now and then, I wonder why I am the way I am. I don’t single out my imperfections and name them. I take the whole package and know everything is connected. Through pain and joy, I’ve learned so much and I love to learn and welcome it. I also know life isn’t always smooth sailing, we will have ups and downs, but when we’re positive, help others, give unselfishly and be the light we’re here to be, we will find peace. Striving to be love is how we invite love and peace into our lives.

Today I baked cranberry orange pecan bread while taking pictures of deer just past our backyard fence. I enjoyed spending the day with some of the guys in my life, my husband, son and grandson and of course our dogs and birds. I did some laundry, computer work and hey, the cold temperatures outside don’t bother me as long as I’m home. *smile*

Peace and love, Fran~Mysti

Wisteria creating art

Autumn is officially here in Virginia and the leaves are falling as well as the temperatures.

A few weeks ago, I was happy to be able to get outside to do some pruning in our yard. Each fall, I cut back the bushes and trees on our property, especially those around our yard and patio. If I didn’t, the patio and house would be devoured and disappear! We live in the woods and have hundreds of types of plants, trees, bushes and shrubs, so it’s a big job. We have ivy, wild grapevine, roses, butterfly bushes, boxwood, wild berries and wild roses, hemlock, forsythia, holly, yew, rose of Sharon and Virginia creeper, to name a few.

Pruning bushes, for example, helps the bush come back in the spring stronger and healthier. Pruning cuts off parts of the plant that are dying or taking away from the core of the plant. When I see new growth in late summer, I sometimes hate to cut it off because its new and a lovely green, but it can also take more water from the main part of the plant that needs it to stay alive. Too many “shoots” or new growth can hurt the plant more than help it at certain times of the year. I usually prune in autumn and again in late spring, depending on the type of bush, tree or plant.

Our lives are the same. We may not have a certain time of the year we need to “prune” our lives like the seasons,  but there may be a time for cutting and letting go of things, situations or people that are taking too much from us. Meditation, reflection and discernment of what’s working and not working in our lives is important. Sometimes clearing and cleansing our lives isn’t as easy as pruning a bush or plant, we can’t just cut things out of our lives so abruptly; it may take time and help from our spiritual sources. Other times, cutting things off quickly can be the best way. We will feel a change in our energy and feel different emotions because there are times we need to make changes although it may tug at our heart and may not be easy because we’re emotionally involved, but we also know the change or “pruning” is necessary.

Be gentle with yourself, give yourself time. Like the plants, we may cut back or prune the branches and feel and see an immediate difference, but often we may not feel the change right away. Each season has new beginnings and endings and with each season we grow.

Blessings and love, Fran-Mysti~

healing-is-a-journey

Healers, energy workers, and those that work with others to help them heal from physical, emotional or spiritual traumas, illness and pain, often are ones that deal with much pain or illness themselves. In spiritual and metaphysical circles, many believe when one is ill, there is a deeper meaning or reason for it. Others believe we bring illness on ourselves because we take on other people’s pain, suffering and are not shielding ourselves well from negative energy that, in time can cause illness. Illness could be something manifesting due to not letting go or not having enough support from family and friends, or even issues from past lives. I’ve noticed some people see being ill or dealing with daily pain as a weakness, but I believe the opposite; seeing pain as a powerful teacher and lessons; something the strongest are able to handle. Perhaps they became strong because of pain. Interesting how that works.

How can a healer help others if they do not understand or have not experienced similar pain themselves? I may be able to help someone by having empathy or sympathy, and of course we all have lived different lives, traveling different paths and it can take a long time to experience everything, but I often tell people, “I can help you, although I may not have experienced what you have, I can help you with my intuitive abilities and empathically tuning into what you are experiencing.”

I spend much of my time around Vietnam Veterans, because my husband is one, and I tell them, “I have not experienced War and the suffering you have experienced; even though, I can help you, but I cannot relate to what it is like to be in a War.” That does not mean I cannot listen and help them. I can help remove the pain of the memories with them and help lessen the pain, but only they can heal it completely, with SpiritGod’s help. I am a guide, a loving hand, heart, ears and soul, there to help them along the way.

I experience a lot of pain myself and have at times turned to doctors to help me. I try not to take medications, but sometimes I need to. I try to use natural remedies as much as possible because my body is sensitive to chemicals. I do know all medicine is derived from base plants; it’s what’s added later that causes medications to affect people in a negative way. I also practice Reiki on myself. I cleanse my chakras and my energy often, especially if I have been around negative people or places. I use crystals and stones to help heal and do energy work. I pray for healing and for the strength to do what I need to do, regardless of pain. I meditate, listening for guidance and pay attention to the energy around me.  I have the right to tell doctor’s no if I feel something is not right for me. I can be mindful of changes and shifts within me and around me. My intentions are always positive.

Most would choose not to have any pain, but how would we understand pain if we have not experienced it? I would choose not to have it all the time or as often, but again, I know what I am here to do and who I am and that helps me to understand my pain. That doesn’t mean I love pain or want it, but I do understand it more and it has taught me many lessons. Just like the pain women have to bring our children into the world, it is soon forgotten because of love.

I do not claim to heal pain, I help others heal their pain and with loving energy I can help pain. I believe in miracles and I do accept some things just are and I do my best and keep moving forward. That’s what I help others do too, heal, grow and never give up!

Healing Spirit with Mysti

Hello everyone,

My goodness, the weather’s changing, getting cooler, and I’ve got lots of “cool” things happening too!

I’ve made some changes to my weekly messages I share here and in a few other places.  I was calling them, “Spiritual Pathways,” which is the name I used for years and just recently began using again. When I was pondering making more changes to my Yahoo groups, my blog and other ways I share things, an idea popped into my head and I just knew I was being led to make some bigger changes. I hope I don’t confuse you all too much, but from now on, the messages shared here for the week will be called, A Season of Love,” the same name as my new book! It feels right, so that’s what I’m going to go with. I may still use the Spiritual Pathways LoveNotes here to share now and then too, but I’ll just have to see how that goes.

I will be sharing the messages on Mondays and Fridays, instead of everyday because I have quite a bit on my plate right now and I must find time for other things too. I’m working on more ways to market my new book, while writing more books, writing here and other places also. I have a life offline too, so finding balance is important.

You can receive the “A Season of Love” Messages here by signing up to this blog or by joining the Yahoo group with the same name at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ASeasonOfLove/

These messages are an in between of the stories and messages found in my book and the LoveNotes I’ve shared before. I feel the new, “A Season of Love” messages will lift you up, give you inspiration, motivate you and give you positive fuel for your body, mind, spirit and soul, weekly. We can all use a little help now and then, so I do hope you will sign up to receive them and let them bless you as they bless me!

Thank you for your time and for staying with me for all these years and for those new folks that are just getting to know me. You’re all very important and precious to me. I love hearing from you and staying in touch. I do my best to respond, write back or get in touch with you as I can, not letting much time pass before getting back to you.

As I said, I’m writing quite a bit, marketing my book, “A Season of Love and opening me up to invites to Author lectures, talks, seminars, workshops and book signings.

I also continue my Mentoring, Spiritual Consults and Guidance and my Intuitive Readings through my website and running several groups at various places and sharing on a daily basis at Social Networks. Please feel free to contact me for more information about my book, my schedule, my website, consults, readings and any other things you would like to talk to me about. I am open to the changes and opportunities coming my way, letting go of what’s not working and stepping out and up to fly.~

Stay tuned for my upcoming Autumn Specials!

Spiritual Pathways~9-20-11

September 20, 2011

Spiritual Pathways for Tuesday: Some days may start out a bit rough, slow, still sleepy and feeling the need to have something give us a burst of energy! When this happens, I do my best to be observant of things around me. What wonders will I see or hear that will wake me up?! The sun comes out from behind the clouds, butterflies flutter from flower to flower, birds singing and the wonder of breathing. I recognize my blessings and as the day begins to blossom, so do I. Wishing you a blessed day.~Mysti-Fran~

Counting Our Blessings~
By Fran Hafey/Mystiblu

Rain, rain, rain! It’s been raining so much, in some areas where we
live, we’ve had flooding. Our garden is mud, the dogs are always
wet and stinky and its just no fun when you can’t go out and play
because of the rain!

But, now the sun has come out and wow, a rainbow! What a beautiful
sight and one of promise! I haven’t had to water my plants or garden
at all and we save the rain water in barrels and containers to use for
those dryer days.

If we look, we can find blessings all around us. The rain is good and
all living things need it, especially the trees, plants and garden. When
it comes to the weather and some circumstances, we don’t always
have as much control over them as others. We can however count our
blessings each day and see just how much we truly do have good in
our lives, even amongst the troubles and chaos. I find when I do this,
I always feel better and so blessed!

I may have some pain in my body, but I can see, hear, taste and move
around, use my arms and legs and so on. Some days may get cloudy
and dark, but I trust and know it won’t stay that way. How we think,
speak and act has so much to do with the energies all around us. Take
a look around and see the blessings you have, even when you’re not
feeling so good. Do you have a comfortable home, a good family, loving
pets, food, clothing, a television, shoes, electricity, water and so on?
I bet you can find something good in your life, when we take the time
to really look and when you do, make a note to yourself.
Wow, then you have something to be grateful for and are truly blessed!

Affirmation: Today, no matter how I feel or what’s happening in
my life, I WILL find some things to be grateful for, make mental notes
or write them down, and realize, I have many blessings. Let someone,
even SpiritGod/Creator, know how you feel, even if you sing, dance
and show your gratefulness in your own way! Count your blessings!

Peace, light, love, joy and blessings,~
