Autumn is very magical to me. I love the frosty mornings and the mystical nights. I love all the seasons, but Autumn is my favorite. The trees turn beautiful colors and their leaves fall gently to the ground making a crunchy carpet. Everywhere I look I see changes. The air is cooler and similar to every autumn I have experienced. The wind and rain come, causing the leaves to fall faster and do all sorts of dances and magical swirls. I love how the wind makes the tops of the trees sway back and forth, like a dance, lulling them to sleep. I sweep and rake leaves from the porch, cut back the roses, collect seeds and bring plants in that spend all summer out in the warmth and come in to keep from freezing in the winter. I watch for signs and pay attention to the forecasts for frost and low temperatures. I find myself rummaging for warmer clothes and boots instead of sandals. My gardens are finished producing and I feel so blessed for all they gave for us to eat and enjoy. I seek ways to keep the dogs out of them so the soil can rest all winter long; composting for the next growing season. I dry some of the herbs and others will continue to grow indoors for me and my family to enjoy. I decorate the front porch with some of my favorites; a scarecrow, jack-o-lanterns and brooms, welcoming guest for the harvest. There are few things I enjoy more than sitting out on the front porch swing, listening to the birds, the wind and feeling the wonderful energy of autumn.

Tonight is Halloween night, or Samhain, as some call it. Samhain is a Gaelic or Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the “darker half” of the year; the time when Mother Earth sleeps and rests. The days are shorter and darker, ending the growing season, bringing in the time of harvest and then winter. November first is the Western Christian holiday of All Saint’s Day, also called All Hallows or Hallowmas, followed by All Souls’ Day on November second. Both days are considered Holy and are observed all over the world in different ways. Within the days of Halloween and All Soul’s day, I will sit outside, light a candle and burn my yearly “negatives” list. It’s a list of things I am letting go of and changing in positive ways. When I burn the list, I ask the wind to carry the ashes and energy up and out to the Universe. I believe and affirm in new beginnings and let go of what I don’t want and don’t need in my life. I know the veil is thin at this time and it is a good time to speak to those who have passed on to the other side and feel peace. Often, this is a time I will receive messages and “glimpses” of things to come, ideas, inspiration and perhaps even a message from an old soul connection, the angels or spirit. I am open to messages and dreams at this time even more than usual because the energy is so wonderful!

I hope you’re enjoying the season of Autumn and are spending time outside with nature. I’m sending good wishes for a wonderful Halloween, Samhain and All Saints day! Remember to take some time to set a place at the table or light a candle in honor of loved ones passed and wish them well.

Blessings and light,

Spiritual Pathways for Tuesday:  We all have busy lives. Going to work, kids, school, shopping, appointments, not always making time to meditate or spend time with SpiritGod. Spirit is always within us and in everything around us. We may think we can’t find the time to spend quality time with SpiritGod, but we can do it all throughout our day. We can talk to Spirit while we’re driving, vacuuming, jogging, taking a hot bath, washing the dishes, washing windows, sweeping the floor or many activities we do! It’s all a matter of letting things flow and feeling the Divine energy.

I have found many ways to have quality time with Spirit and find inspiration. I love looking out the window at my flower gardens and nature while I’m washing dishes.  I sing when I’m vacuuming or cleaning and feel the energy rise in me. I will sit on my front porch listening to the birds sing or while riding in a car on the way to an appointment looking out the window. When I sit in the waiting room, I rarely read or look at my cell phone, I take that time to just sit quietly and go within, taking a break from movement, thinking and always doing something. If we pay attention, we always seem to find opportunities for what we really need.

I love to write and I receive inspiration from many different sources and from SpiritGod. Sometimes it flows and other times it seems as though I begin, then it just doesn’t come together. I may be vacuuming, doing laundry, spending time with my family, outside taking a walk and a thought will pop into my head and I may hear something like, “You need to share this, its important, share it now.” I usually get up that very moment and go to the computer and begin typing and this is when it really flows, as if I’m not the one writing, but spirit is. If I can’t get to the computer right away, I’ll grab pen and paper and take notes and write as much as I can.
Two years ago I fell when walking a garden path, hit my head and the back of my neck and had a nasty concussion and back fracture. I found it difficult to put thoughts together and remember words. The thoughts would be in my head sometimes, but when I began to speak, there were blanks here and there, like some of the words just disappeared. That’s what happens in our brain when things aren’t connecting completely. There may be something damaged causing the messages not to make a complete loop from our brain to our speech resulting in an incomplete thought or sentence.
The same thing happens with our spirit and our soul. We may receive messages from all sorts of sources and they’re right in front of us, but we miss them sometimes or they just don’t make a complete loop from our senses to our spirit, then to our soul. We feel things are a bit blurry, we may struggle to find the answers we seek and like with the brain and our thoughts and speech, its right there, but we’re just not able to find it and complete it. The brain needs to heal, just as our spirit and soul needs to heal also.
We can ask for help, but I found during my time of healing, that sometimes we’re supposed to do things on our own. We’re never a lone, but we do need to learn our lessons the best way we can, so we don’t have to keep repeating them.  I found that from years of being ill and having to slow down, there were reasons behind it, some I didn’t understand, but I was forced to sit more, go within, rely on others to help me and to move out of my own way and to just breathe!
Peace and love always,

Hello, this is my new blog! I hope to get busy very soon sharing some of my thoughts, my writings, inspirations and quotes. I feel very blessed to have found a nice place to do all my blogging instead of having it spread out in so many places. I’m also very happy, so many people have continued to ask me to please share more of my writings and insights, my Spiritual Pathways, my Faery and Soul messages, the Spiritual LoveNotes, and to keep doing what I’ve been doing for a long time! I pray these blog messages will be helpful, inspirational and uplifting. We’ve all grown on our paths and there’s always so much to share! Sometimes I get so busy, behind he scenes lately, people wonder where I’ve been or what I’m up to. (smile) I assure you, I’m around and I never stop thinking of all of you and what I’m here to do! Please come back often and say hello when you can.

Love, peace, joy and blessings,
