Spiritual Pathways~9-20-11

September 20, 2011

Spiritual Pathways for Tuesday: Some days may start out a bit rough, slow, still sleepy and feeling the need to have something give us a burst of energy! When this happens, I do my best to be observant of things around me. What wonders will I see or hear that will wake me up?! The sun comes out from behind the clouds, butterflies flutter from flower to flower, birds singing and the wonder of breathing. I recognize my blessings and as the day begins to blossom, so do I. Wishing you a blessed day.~Mysti-Fran~

From now on, I’m going to be combining my Spiritual Pathways messages with my Thoughts for today! The short version will be on Facebook on my Mystickblue page, and a few other places, the slightly extended version will be here on my blog, “A Moment with Mysti.” Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy them!

Spiritual Pathways for Monday: Today is a good day to not let another minute pass by without telling someone I love, how much I love them and appreciate them! Do you and your loved ones go different directions everyday and barely see each other? Do you wish you could let them know know what you’re thinking? Don’t wait! Tell those you love, you love them every chance you can! It feels good!  🙂

Peace~Mysti-Fran

Spiritual Pathways LoveNote~

For your Weekend~

September 25, 2010

by Mystiblu/Fran Hafey

The Bee and the Ant

The bee said to the ant, “lets have some fun, its the weekend and we deserve it!” They found the nearest picnic, ate lots of food and had fun instead of working all the time. They laid around on the grass watching the clouds go by and realized, “there’s a time for everything in life if we choose wisely.”

When we don’t take time for ourselves, we may become workers where everyone is the same, not being unique and creating our own niche in life. We may feel unappreciated and feel like all we do is work and never have any fun. We may feel our dreams are not coming true because we don’t really take time to work on them or step forward in the right direction.

The moral is: Yes, ants and bees have their jobs. They work hard and for them there is a way they do things and it works for them, because they’re insects. But, we’re humans and we can choose to take time to have fun, do what we enjoy and to just be. (be, not bee, no pun intended)

Affirmation for the weekend: I will do my best to enjoy life, to take moments to just be and appreciate the moments. I will stop and see what I have around me, be grateful, sit still and create peace within me. The dishes will still be there, the vaccuming, the car needing to be washed or fixing that gutter, but for right now, this moment, I will just sit, close my eyes and feel peace. THEN, I will feel even better when I know there are chores that need to be done because now I can do them with JOY!

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Peace, blessings and just be~

Mysti~

“Sometimes what’s good for us may come in unexpected ways,
not always in the shape or form we were hoping for, but it comes
right when we need it and opens a door to countless opportunities”

What’s Good For Us~
Fran Hafey/Mystiblu

I remember as a child hearing adults say “eat it, its good
for you,” or “take it, it’ll make you feel better.” Even though
at the time I didn’t probably think so, usually they were
right. It may not have tasted good, but it was good for me
in a bigger way, a way I couldn’t really understand or see
at the time.

In life, we often times have things that are good for us and
we don’t always see it or realize it. Things may happen in
ways we don’t see as a blessing or as good and our nature
is to fight it or let it affect us in a not so positive way because
we just don’t understand it.

Why do you think it is, that we humans don’t always see
what’s right in front of us and also see something that’s good
for us? We may have to get used to it or adjust, because its
different. If some things good for us, wouldn’t it make sense
that it should feel good or better? Often, it can take time to
get used to changes and make adjustments, even when its
good for us. I know taking vitamins and herbal supplements
are good for me and are to help me, but, good or not, it still
takes time to get used to taking them everyday or when we’re
supposed to. Its in this routine that they get into our bodies,
our systems, and then can really begin to help and make a
difference.

When something happens in your life, try and step back and
see the bigger picture. Again, its normal to be curious or
wonder why, but so often, by letting go and not over thinking
or trying to figure things out, we can find the true,
encompassing understanding just by allowing peace and
fluidity of our heart and soul to be more in control than
our mind and nature. When something hurts or doesn’t feel
right, we normally look for answers, whether it be emotional,
physical or spiritual. Mind, body, spirit. The answers will come,
but not always in the way we may think they will or just when
we want them. With time and experience, we find ways of
accepting things that happen with a more positive manner,
finding peace within, letting go of what we don’t need and
moving forward to allow love to show us the lesson involved.
If forgiveness is needed, then love will show us a way and
all things will in time, fall into place.

Just remember, we may not see all the pieces of the puzzle
right in front of us all at the same time, but when searching
and traveling on the spiritual path, light will show us the way
and what direction to go next, even when we thought for a
moment we were lost and didn’t understand, love, light,
compassion and kindness will always show us a way.

AFFIRMATION:

Today I can find my way through anything, when I look
towards the light and be the light. My life path will show
me the way when I ask for help and trust myself and my
Higher Power.

Blessings and grace dear friends, today and everyday~,
         Mysti~

Life…One step at a time, being brave, trusting, having faith and learning from wonderful experiences and adventures!~”

 Life Adventures~
 By Fran Hafey/Mystiblu

Today, someone on one of my Spiritual Discussion groups sent a quote and it resonated with me deeply. The quote is by M. Scott Peck and I’m sharing it for you below.

An adventure is going into the unknown. If you know exactly where you are
going, exactly how you will get there, and exactly what you will see along the
way, it is not an adventure. Because they involve the unknown, adventures
are inherently dangerous to a greater or lesser degree. Yet its is also only from
adventures and their newness that we learn. If we know exactly where we’re
going, exactly how to get there, and exactly what we’ll see along the way,
we won’t learn anything.
                             ~M. Scott Peck

If we knew exactly where we were going, how to get there and what we would see, I call that boring and uneventful, not an adventure at all! When I read this I kept thinking about “Bilbo Baggins” and all his wonderful adventures he took while leaving his home in the Shire amongst his Hobbit family and friends! He felt an urge, an uneasyness about just staying at home, not doing what his heart and soul were calling him to do. He may have made a plan, maybe he didn’t, but he packed lightly and set out to create wonderful new experiences and adventures, exploring and trusting not only in himself, but perhaps his Source, Higher Power, to help him along his way and path. Bilbo saw opportunity and took it, and what wonderful things he experienced and shared with others, which in turn inspired them perhaps, to also have thoughts of opportunity, adventure and newness. They were in awe of his travelings and what he had seen, done and learned and came home to share with them. Some of them may have also wanted to explore and learn what was waiting, within or on a path that may have taken them from what they knew so well, and dive into a new day filled with endless possibilities.~

Affirmation:  I can set out to make and create new experiences in my life, trust and go with the flow, but also set my mind, words and actions to trusting that life is filled with wonderful new adventures and we never cease to learn! We have the opportunity to create every new day!

~Wishing all, a Wonderful Holiday filled with every good thing and a fantastic New Year!~ From my family to yours~

Peace, light, love, joy and blessings,~

What We Learn From Dogs and Being Responsible Humans~
By Fran Hafey/Mystiblu

Are you a dog lover? I am. I love dogs and the way their so
different and have unconditional love for us. They lay around
most of the day and it always amazes me how much sleep
they get, so no wonder they’re perky and in good moods most
of the time. Yes, some dogs are just grumpy by nature, like so
many humans. I’ve learned to watch dogs as they play, eat,
sleep, interact with each other and humans too. They’ve taught
me a lot, but they can also be greedy at times, want to always
sit on your lap or just sit on you, lol, may have accidents, chew
on something they’re not supposed to or eat off your plate, but
for the most part, I wouldn’t mind being a dog.

I know there are so many dogs in the world that don’t have
good homes and we all need to do our part and be responsible
pet owners and have them spayed or neutered, but also we
need to pay attention to the pet population on our planet just
as we need to pay attention to the human population too. Planet
earth was made to hold only so many living beings, feed only
so many and as we grow, we all need to learn how to do our part
on the planet as responsible human beings by recycling, not
being wasteful, thinking of others, sharing and so forth.

You may love cats, reptiles, birds and the list goes on and on.
I love almost all animals, but have you ever really just observed
them and watched how intelligent they are. They listen and pay
attention to Mother Earth more than we do for the most part,
there is an order to what they do and how they do it. We could
take lessons from the animals around us because they’re in
tune with nature and their senses are keen to most everything
around them. There are always exceptions, but its that way
in the human world too. I’m speaking of the norm and our
average dogs and animals. Our pets bring us so much joy and
happiness into our lives and we do the same for them.

With dogs when their hungry they eat, when they have an itch,
they scratch, when they’re tired, they rest, if they’re sick to their
stomachs, they eat grass, which many grasses have ingredients
that are made just for that. When a dog wants love, they ask for
it, they show their emotions through their body language, like
wagging their tails, their eyes and facial emotions, jumping and
some even have a “barking language” that they and other dogs
understand and even some humans! These are just some of the
things dogs do natually that I’ve observed.

I love dogs, oh I know I said that, but as I sit here typing, I have
two or three in my office and a few outside enjoying the wonderful
warm sunlight, basking, dreaming, comfortable. Oh to be a dog
in a home like mine, where they’re loved and appreciated and well,
they seem to feel the same way about me too.

Affirmation: Today I will appreciate the dog or dogs in my life
or all my pets. They deserve good things in life just as we do and
today I will believe that all things are possible and life can be good
for me and our pets! We have everything we need! I will also be
a responsible human and choose to do the right things!
