A Season of Love Message~11-28-11~”Being Real”~

November 28, 2011

A Season of Love Message for Monday:  Today is a good day to “just be real!” Being “real” to me, is when we allow ourselves to be who we are, not to put on airs or try and be something or someone we’re not or try to do something we’re not really feeling. As a Writer, I have times when the inspiration flows and other times it doesn’t. I cannot force the words or it doesn’t sound good or isn’t coming from my heart. During Thanksgiving, I got busy cleaning, cooking and spending time with my family and I didn’t even open my computer. I felt “guilty” for not taking out time to write my weekly messages or to even write and say I was taking some time off. There was something in me that kept telling me it was ok, that others understood and taking time off for a bit wasn’t “bad.” In our busy worlds I think we often try to please too many people and sometimes forget about ourselves. We all need some down time to just be ourselves and give to ourselves too. Just be real and tell yourself its ok to slow down and take some time for YOU!

I found myself cleaning and basically over doing it. I’ve done it before and I guess I just don’t learn! With a family and pets, those are just two reasons I’m always busy trying to keep up with chores around the house and when guest come, I tend to overdo it and cause myself to be exhausted for a few days afterwards. I have Fibromyalgia and recently my doctors had changed some medications I’m on for blood pressure and asthma. While preparing for Thanksgiving and seeing our son and Grandson, we had to get things in our house in order for them to stay overnight and spend time with us. We’d been going through all sorts of things and had our spare room in disarray, so I spent quite a bit of time organizing, washing linens, dusting, cleaning, plus shopping for food and dealing with many other things that had to be done. I see how easy it is  to become overwhelmed or over do things. I was happy to see them and I did what I had to do and then just spent quality time with my loved ones. I didn’t have the energy to really do much online, much less write something from my heart, even though I took lots of mental notes on things to write about in the near future. The Holidays seem to do something to me, not sure if it’s easy to explain, I enjoy them, but I think  a lot, about how much I wish we could have all this cheer, joy, love and holiday spirit, all year round! If I’m not careful, I can get into a bit of a funky mood, just thinking about and feeling the energy all around me from the Holidays.

Being real and allowing myself time to work through all of this “Holiday stuff,” is a gift I give myself each year. I love the magic in children’s eyes during the Holidays and love to share traditions, stories and the magic with them. Just taking time to be real and allow my inner child to partake of some of the Holiday fun is important. So, if you don’t see me around on a regular basis until sometime in January 2012, between the shopping and wrapping, giving and celebrating, loving and eating, (and also cleaning) you know when I write, it will be quality versus quantity, just how I like to spend my Holidays! I will be around, just being me and sharing lots of love with you too when I do have time to write and share. The messages may be a little late or they may not, but they will always be exactly what I was supposed to share and at the right time.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, joy and blessings.

Peace, Fran~Mysti~

A Season of Love Message~11-18-11~

November 18, 2011

A Season of Love Message for Friday:  Today is a good day to fall in love again with someone or something in your life! Too often, life gets busy and we lose touch with those we love and many of the things we love to do. Our passions fade and we become accustom to how life seems to fall into a pattern we just get used to. It’s a great time to wake up and realize our life is important and what truly matters. We can live, day in and day out, just getting by or we can fall in love with our lives again, those in it, and the things we used to love to do, those things we did for pleasure and passion, not just because we have to. Take time today to ponder what you truly love or used to love with more passion and make a pact with yourself to love them again and don’t forget about loving you more too!

Is there someone or something in your life you feel you’ve neglected or slowly fallen away from? Do you feel the love is not as strong as it used to be? When we realize we’ve been short-changing ourselves and aren’t living our lives to our “love” potential, only we can do something about it.  Perhaps you and your significant other need to have more quality time together and life’s busy schedule has been getting hectic, pulling you away from each other. Do you have a hobby you used to enjoy, that gave you peace and joy and now you’ve no time for it? Maybe you would like to learn something new and feel you don’t have time to add anything else to your list of many things to do. Would you like to make new friends and catch up with old friends? When we take time to really look at our lives and see the important things slipping by without us, it’s time to reevaluate and make changes. We have the power to do it, no one else. We may need to rearrange a few things, really get excited and ask for a little help, here and there, but there’s nothing wrong with that! For me, I’m falling in love again with many things in my life, some I’ve neglected due to losing sight of importance and others I just didn’t make time for anymore. There are so many people and things I love in my life that are worth my time. Today is a perfect day to fall in love!

Blessings & grace,

~Mysti-Fran

A Season of Love Message~11-11-11~

November 11, 2011

A Season of Love Message for Friday:  Today is Veteran’s Day. I am proud of the recognition people are now giving our Veterans of different wars, our fallen military and active duty. I married a, “lifer” as they call them, who started in the Marines, then went to the Navy as a corpsman, or Doc. He’d already been in fifteen years when we married and went the distance of thirty years! My Dad was in the Navy and my Uncle was in the Air Force. I also have son-in-laws that were Army, so I’m surrounded by patriotism from all corners of the military. I put my American flags out, sometimes leaving them out all year, but for this day, I will take time to thank a Veteran for their service and show my gratitude and appreciation. I hope you will too!

Some people think going into the military is just another job, it’s not. Men and women that join the military give more than just their time. They take a chance in being sent to dangerous places all over the world, being separated from their families, being hurt or killed and they give their all for our country. They secure our freedom. I’m sure there are other jobs that are dangerous, but not too many that make a person so proud to serve their country and give one hundred present! What they give and sometimes what is taken can lasts a lifetime!  I am very proud to be an American!

Being a military wife, I’ve seen secondhand, what it can be like. Not firsthand, because I’ve not been in the military, but I have had many sleepless nights, missing the one I love, wondering if they’re safe, hurt, alive and praying they and all his comrades, come home safe. I want to also thank all the military families for what they’ve given too! It takes strong people to stand beside their military loved one!

Thank you Veterans, for what you’ve given and what you give for our country and for our freedom! Bless you for being who you are and for standing up when called upon! Thank you.

Blessings and peace,~Mysti-Fran

A Season of Love Message~11-7-11~Reflection of Love

November 7, 2011

A Season of Love Message for Monday:  Today is a good day for reflection. Yesterday, was the “angel-versary” of one of my guardian angels, my dog, Meeko, Little Whitefox, of when she died on November 6, eight years ago. I can hardly believe it’s been that long.  I feel her spirit around me, here in our home and land. She was like one of my children, giving me love and creating joy, so much unconditional love. I have always loved animals and I feel blessed that I’ve had many in my lifetime that were so wonderful. Today is a good day to reflect, but also a good day to give love to a pet in your life, adopt a new pet, have your pet spayed or neutered or help a friend or neighbor spay or neuter their pet too. It all helps in the bigger scheme of things, especially when there are so many animals without loving homes. Give some love today!

I’ve always had a close relationship with animals, my whole life and still today. I have a gift of being able to sense their emotions and even telepathically communicate with them. Because of this, animals have always liked me too. They trust me and know I will not hurt them.  There is a mutual respect.

I’m an animal activist for wild animals and for domestic animals as well. I believe they have rights too and deserve to be treated well, or wildlife should be respected and left as it is, not hunted just for sport or furs.

When I reflect on all the animals that have been a part of my life, I’m awed at how many and the lessons I’ve learned from them. I believe in giving back and I have all my dogs spayed or neutered, so not to bring anymore into the world. All of our dogs have been adopted when they needed a new home and we were willing to provide that for them.  I’ve also done animal rescue for dogs, cats, birds and even wild animals, then releasing them back into the wild.

Today and over the weekend, I took time to reflect on all the love, all my pets, and my dear Meeko and the others I’ve shared a little bit of my life with. Please pass it on, that so many animals need good, loving homes where they can be part of the family and not just something tied up outside. Animal shelters need responsible people to help give homes to the animals there. Adopt a ball of fur into your life and make sure they’re spayed or neutered and share the love today and for a lifetime!

Blessings, ~Mysti-Fran

A Season of Love Message~11-4-11~A Place of Gratitude

November 4, 2011

A Season of Love Message for Friday:  Today I am in a place of gratitude!  It’s good to remember to count our blessings and be grateful. Every day I find something I am thankful for, even the smallest things. So many people are hurting, struggling, in pain, feeling lack in their lives; I know it’s not a good or positive place to be. When we’re having difficulties and life is pulling at us, it’s not easy to look around and feel grateful, but even then, there is always something to be grateful for. Perhaps we can look up and see the sun, feel its warmth on a cold day, breathe fresh air, have clean water, hear from a friend, feel love from a pet, have food to eat, electricity and a place to sleep. Too many don’t have those things and when I stop to think about it, I close my eyes and send out love and abundant, positive thoughts to the world and the Universe, believing that energy will help us all have what we need and to be in a place of gratitude.

This week has been interesting and fruitful. To me, most weeks are, because being positive attracts good things to us. I also find that when I give, I receive. I’ve been going through clothes, coats, blankets and things to give away and I thought it would be nice to have a few new sweaters for myself, since it’s getting colder. I believe it’s good to get rid of the old to make room for the new, so that’s what I’ve been doing. When we give, we always receive one way or another!

While online, I saw an email pop up that looked interesting from a Freecycle group I’m on. Freecycle, are groups online you can join for the area you live in, where people give away things they no longer need or want to keep them out of the land fields.  My family and I have given away some things and we’ve received some too.

I responded to the email where a lady was giving away some nice clothes with the tags still on them, especially two sweaters and they were my size. I responded and she said I could have two bags, but one was already promised to someone else. I said that was fine and we made arrangements for me to pick them up. I was happy they were nice and it felt good to receive them. I wrote her an email when I got home and said thank you. She wrote back and said she had another bag, she felt bad I hadn’t gotten the best one. My husband picked them up while he was out and I was excited that everything in the bag was brand new, my size and just beautiful! I was so happy and felt so blessed. We didn’t get to meet her, she wasn’t home, but I felt this “angel,” must have heard me when I said I needed a few new items of clothing and she came through! She and I are planning on getting together soon for lunch, so “two” requests came through and the Universe has a way of bringing things together in the most wonderful ways!

Blessings & gratitude,

~Mysti-Fran
