Spiritual Pathways for Thursday:  Today I slept late. I get upset when I do that sometimes, but I also realize my body needs the extra sleep and when I have the opportunity, I take it! It’s really ok for us to take a time out now and then, those of us that share a part of ourselves with the world and share what’s in our hearts. I hear an old ad ringing in my ears, “You deserve a break today,” and think, simple but true. Be gentle with yourself, taking time out now and then to do some of the things you want to do too. Sit, relax and enjoy! It’s good for the body, mind and soul.~

I’ve always been too hard on myself, being a perfectionist in some areas. I like things done in a certain way and in a certain time frame. I’ve loosened up some over the years, going with the flow and not being so hard on myself if some things didn’t get finished right away or by my own personal deadline. There’s enough in this world to cause us stress without us causing more of it on our own. I still have a “higher standard” for myself in my writing, my life and how I present myself to others, in all the things I do. Often times, I will take a deep breath and tell myself, “hey, it’s going to work out just fine, slow down, calm down and see it all done, finished and good.” I have a knowing within that I am never alone and I always have a great cheering section behind me, helping me, letting me know I’m doing a great job and everything always works out the way it’s supposed to. I love it when a good plan comes together. (smile)

Spiritual Pathways for Wednesday:  Everyday, it’s my responsibility to communicate to others. We cannot go through life complaining if we don’t make ourselves clear. We need to communicate our needs and our wants in a clear way for others to understand us.  If there is a situation you’re dealing with and it involves another, unless you speak to them, letting them know what’s on your mind, they may not understand or be able to act upon it, but sharing how we feel can help the situation and open up communication.

Our body language does help, but often people can misinterpret our feelings. You may be hurt, but it seems like anger, so the other person may avoid a discussion or dealing with the situation because they don’t want a confrontation. We also need to be good listeners, because often communication is misinterpreted because one person is not getting their point across and the other person is not really listening. Communication can be a funny thing sometimes, especially on the phone or internet, which we all know is the thing of today. We need to learn to choose our words carefully and remember not everything is on the same wavelength we are when it comes to what we think or how we feel. Take time today, to communicate with others and remember it always helps to be kind.

Spiritual Pathways for Tuesday:  We all have busy lives. Going to work, kids, school, shopping, appointments, not always making time to meditate or spend time with SpiritGod. Spirit is always within us and in everything around us. We may think we can’t find the time to spend quality time with SpiritGod, but we can do it all throughout our day. We can talk to Spirit while we’re driving, vacuuming, jogging, taking a hot bath, washing the dishes, washing windows, sweeping the floor or many activities we do! It’s all a matter of letting things flow and feeling the Divine energy.

I have found many ways to have quality time with Spirit and find inspiration. I love looking out the window at my flower gardens and nature while I’m washing dishes.  I sing when I’m vacuuming or cleaning and feel the energy rise in me. I will sit on my front porch listening to the birds sing or while riding in a car on the way to an appointment looking out the window. When I sit in the waiting room, I rarely read or look at my cell phone, I take that time to just sit quietly and go within, taking a break from movement, thinking and always doing something. If we pay attention, we always seem to find opportunities for what we really need.

Spiritual Pathways for Monday:  Today, I realize, when I need to make changes in my life, I cannot just sit in one place and expect them to fall into my lap. I must think or visualize the changes, speak them and then act upon them, creating them. Believe in them! I must move the energy, begin, take the first step forward, before the wheels begin to turn to make changes I desire in my life. I believe!

When we reach a place in our lives when we sense or feel changes need to be made, we have choices. We can do nothing, thinking things will change on their own or we can begin to think of a plan, write down ideas, speak positively and begin preparing for those changes to come into our lives. I’ve found when I just start, taking the first steps, the energy moves and things begin to happen! Remember, for the highest good and believe that what we need or desire will come or something even better!

Spiritual Pathways for Friday~9-23-11:  Happy Autumn Equinox! Take some time to sit quietly today and feel the energy as night falls earlier and the days become shorter.  Meditate on the cycle of life as the wheel turns once again. Listen to brother crow, watch brother squirrel and feel the cooler winds coming our way. Give thanks for all your blessings as we begin harvest time, gathering our abundance close to hearth and home.

This is my favorite time of year from Autumn Equinox to Samhain, Halloween, the Celtic New Year! The energy is strong and wonderful and I enjoy time outdoors in nature, watching the leaves change color and feeling the autumn air.  Life seems to slow down once harvest is over and we all begin to prepare for winter. I love the way it feels on November 1st, All Saints Day, the mystical feeling when the veil is thinnest and spirits are close.  Everything feels fresh, new and magical. Wishing you a wonderful Autumn!

Spiritual Pathways for Thursday~9-22-11: The Autumn Equinox is almost upon us. Take some time to walk outside and enjoy the changes in nature. Sit under a tree, enjoy, breathe in the wonderful energy and know that just like the seasons, we also go through changes and cycles in our lives. Enjoy the cooler days and take time to appreciate nature’s beauty.

For those on the other side of the world, Happy Spring! May we all feel the wonderful energy surging through Mother Earth as she turns once again and the days begin to change. It’s amazing how she keeps the balance and life can be what we believe and what we make it. We are all creators. Blessings and light.~

Spiritual Pathways for Wednesday: Today, live your life, “your way!” I used to get upset when someone would voice to me how they didn’t agree with my lifestyle or my beliefs. I realized it wasn’t doing me any good to allow it to affect me in a negative way. I believe strongly in, “live and let live, harm none.” I’m very open-minded and proud I don’t do to others, what they do unto me when it comes to preaching about my beliefs and my life. To me, it’s sad when others don’t try harder to let people live their lives the way they choose and be happy. Shoving what they believe down our throats is not setting a loving example of love and tolerance to one another. Being over opinionated and argumentive doesn’t do anyone any good. I may not like it or agree, but I still do my best to love them anyway! Love is the key~Peace~ Mysti-Fran~
